Job summary

Independence Village Avon Lake is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to support our kitchen team. You will wash and unload dishes, pots, pans, silverware, and utensils, maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in a busy dining environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, positive attitude, and good communication. Prior restaurant or dishwasher experience is preferred but not required, and training will be provided. This position aligns with our resident-centered care and busy dining schedule.

• May be required to scrub and mop floors, clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Consistently maintain a positive attitude, supporting a team environment with other Dishwashers and the culinary team.
• Promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests.

Shift Information: Part-Time, 4pm-8pm

As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for washing and unloading dishes, pots, pans, silverware, china, utensils, and equipment.

Required Experience

• Prior restaurant or dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required.

General Working Conditions

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
