Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is hiring a part-time dishwasher to support our patient meals program. You will clean and sanitize dishes, prepare items for washing, deliver patient trays, and transport meal carts while following safety and confidentiality protocols.

A High School diploma is preferred; Food Handler Certificate is preferred. This role offers day-time shifts on a Day-Weekend schedule and benefits from Day One. Pay range shown: $15.45–$24.73 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv (preferred).
• Food Handler Certificate preferred.
• Food Handler Certificate (FHC) preferred (Licenses and Certifications).

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and chemical concentrations to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies.
• Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment.
• Restock clean serviceware to designated locations using correct handling procedures, and monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
