Job summary

Salem Health, based at Salem Hospital in Salem, Oregon, is seeking a dish room associate to support patient meals by keeping dishes, trays, pots, pans and utensils clean and readily available. You will work with a dedicated Food and Nutrition Services team to maintain a safe, organized kitchen environment.

The role offers full-time, non-exempt status with a 2:00pm–10:30pm schedule, Sunday through Thursday. No previous experience is required, and a Food handlers' card is due within 30 days of

• Retrieve dishes from patient units.

• Monitor temperature on the equipment to ensure safe sanitation practices are being performed.

As a dish room associate, play an important role in supporting excellent patient care by ensuring clean dishes, trays, pots, pans and utensils are readily available for the preparation and service of patient meals. Work alongside a dedicated team to maintain a clean, safe and organized environment while helping Food and Nutrition Services operate efficiently. This role is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference behind the scenes while supporting patients, families and caregivers throughout their hospital experience.
