Job summary

Roots in Pittsburgh is seeking a dish crew member to help keep the kitchen stocked and the dish station organized. You will wash dishes by hand, follow our established dishwashing process, and ensure all tools and wares are clean and ready for service.

• Loyally follow and execute food safety practices per Leadership Team.
• Keep dish room and storage areas spotless.
• Multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
• Prepare three-compartment sink with proper chemicals and clean dishes and containers.
• Sweep and mop kitchen, storage, and line floors.
• Empty trash cans and dispose of garbage.
• Open and close dish room per restaurant standards.
• Communicate actively with Leadership Team and peers.
• Maintain positive and cheerful attitude during shifts.

THE ROLE

As a member of our dish crew you are responsible for keeping our restaurant stocked and ready with clean tools to make delicious food. You will work the dish station in the kitchen either solo or as a tag team with another crewmember; washing dishes by hand, using our dishwashing process, and keeping your stations spotless and organized.
