Job summary

ACGBBQ, LLC., a Sonny’s BBQ licensed franchisee, is seeking a diligent BOH Team Member to support dishwashing and kitchen duties. You’ll help maintain cleanliness, assist with food prep support tasks, and ensure a welcoming, sanitary environment for guests and staff.

Ideal candidates have some restaurant experience, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced setting. Join a team that values growth and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant settings considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene.

General Purpose: To provide the most memorable experience for our guests, through fun, connections, and the best BBQ ever!

Essential Duties (may include, but not limited to)

• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene
• Work cooperatively with all other staff
• Always maintaining a clean workstation
• Operate a dish machine using proper levels of chemicals
• Follow all regulations and system standards for sanitation
• Bussing, sorting, rinsing and racking dishes after use
• Wash all pots and pans after each use
• Empty trash cans. Plus maintain and keep dumpster area clean
• Place silverware in appropriate storage areas
• Keep the kitchen supplied with clean dishes
• Maintain floors, work area, and restrooms clean, including trash disposal.
• Clean the restrooms regularly
• Maintain the parking area clean and clear of trash
• Ensure our restaurant maintains a clean and inviting atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements

• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Can be calm under pressure
• Must be dependable and can maintain a flexible schedule.
• Attend and successfully complete any ongoing training or certification programs required by the company, federally, or by the state as it relates to this position.

Required Skills and Experience

• Related experience and/or training in the restaurant industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
• Team Members will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and required to work with cleaning chemicals. Frequent washing of the hands is required for all positions.

• Dishwashers are regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to handle products and tools, paperwork and equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively with your Team, including speaking and listening.
• The position requires continuously walking, standing, bending, lifting, reaching, crouching, touching, feeling, tasting, talking, hearing, wiping, smelling, and inhaling smoke from a wood-burning cooker.
• Sonny’s is a fast-paced environment and requires constant human interaction and movement.
• Dishwashers regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• While performing the duties of the job, team members regularly work with or near moving mechanical parts.
• As a BOH Team Member, you must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job for up to an 8-hour shift.
