Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to support infectious disease discovery while also serving in a laboratory management capacity. This role balances hands-on cell culture, virology, and molecule assay work with operations, safety, and compliance duties.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in biology or related field, 2+ years of lab experience, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Virology, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience with cell culture and laboratory assay work required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
• Experience with lab safety, compliance, or operations support is a plus.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell culture, virology, and molecule assay activities in support of discovery programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, results, and observations.
• Troubleshoot routine assay and workflow issues as needed.
• Coordinate lab purchase and work orders, equipment needs and maintenance requests.
• Conduct lab safety inspections and help maintain lab organization, inventory, and compliance.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to support Infectious Disease Discovery program activities while also serving in a laboratory management capacity. This dual-role position will contribute to scientific efforts in cell culture, virology, and molecule assay development/execution , while also helping ensure smooth day-to-day laboratory operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable balancing hands-on scientific work with organizational and compliance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell culture, virology, and molecule assay activities in support of discovery programs
• Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, results, and observations
