Job summary

Contact Government Services, LLC is seeking a Discovery Database Administrator to support SQL Server environments (2019 and 2022) in a fast-paced Legal department. You will manage security, backups, high availability, and reporting tasks across the portfolio.

Responsibilities include migration to cloud infrastructure, upgrading servers, and creating SSRS reports while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize data architectures and ensure robust data governance.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022.
• Backup, recovery, mirroring and log shipping expertise.
• Knowledge of data lake/data warehouse concepts and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide database administration support for Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022, including security setup, tables, indexes, stored procedures, and maintenance jobs.
• Administer SQL Server 2019/2022, applying best practices for optimization.
• Create and maintain databases in a clustered server environment with data models.
• Support data lake/data warehouse architectures and metadata management.
• Implement mirroring, log shipping, redundancy, high availability, backups and recovery.
• Assist in migrating systems to cloud infrastructure.
• Upgrade SQL Servers and create SSRS reports; set up a reporting server and manage DBA functions.
