Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is hiring for a Hearing Officer at East Mississippi Correctional Facility in Meridian, MS. You will conduct fair and impartial disciplinary hearings in alignment with ACA standards, MDOC directives, and MTC policies.

The role ensures proper documentation and adherence to inmate rights. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years in criminal justice or related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• Must have strong understanding of disciplinary hearing procedures.
• Experience in conducting fair and impartial hearings.
• Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records.
• Excellent communication and observation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review investigation results and determine if evidence supports charges.
• Enforce disciplinary rules and maintain records and reports.
• Ensure the narrative report is clear and understandable.
• Call and question witnesses; record statements.
• Promote inmate rights and ensure safety during hearings.
• Attend hearings regularly on-site.
