Job summary

ServiceMaster of Charleston is seeking a Disaster Restoration Technician to support our Myrtle Beach area projects. You will perform water pumping and extraction at residential and commercial sites, assess damage, and assist with mold remediation following industry safety standards.

Team members are expected to be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to document progress while communicating clearly with customers and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Perform water pumping and extraction at residential and commercial job sites
• Conduct mold remediation following industry safety protocols
• Remove and dispose of damaged building materials
• Determine water category and class; perform moisture mapping using industry equipment
• Clean up after fire damage, including smoke and soot removal
• Set up and monitor drying equipment to industry standards
• Document job site conditions and progress through photos and notes
• Communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and project managers
• Maintain, clean, and store company equipment and vehicles
• Follow safety protocols, including proper PPE usage
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform water pumping and extraction at residential and commercial job sites
• Conduct mold remediation following industry safety protocols
• Remove and dispose of damaged building materials
• Determine water category and class; perform moisture mapping using industry equipment
• Clean up after fire damage, including smoke and soot removal
• Set up and monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers) to industry drying standards
• Document job site conditions, moisture readings, and progress through daily photos and notes
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, and project managers
• Maintain, clean, and properly store company equipment and vehicles
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed for emergency response
