Job summary

Texas A&M University invites applications for the TDIS Associate Program Director to guide the Texas Disaster Information System (TDIS). This leadership role oversees deliverables, cross-team coordination, and sustainability beyond grants.

You will engage state agencies, executives, and end users, directing strategic planning and financial oversight. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, stakeholder communication, and business development to secure diversified funding and long-term program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight years of related experience i.e. Program Management, Project Management.
• Master’s degree in public administration, business administration, planning, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in program management, business development, or public-sector/agency-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day operations of the TDIS program, coordinating across applications and development/operations teams.
• Serves as point of contact for stakeholders and end users; gather, synthesize, and channel user feedback to inform prioritization and roadmap decisions.
• Leads business development efforts to identify funding sources, partnerships, and revenue opportunities that sustain TDIS beyond current grant cycles.
• Coordinates program staff and contracted support; supports staff development and performance planning for TDIS-dedicated personnel.
• Assists with yearly budgetary and contract processes; coordinates with accounting and grants personnel on invoicing, budget tracking, and expenditure monitoring.
