Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking Disaster Recovery / Grant Management / Public Assistance Consultants to support federal, state, tribal, territorial, local government, and nonprofit applicants across the United States.

These on-call assignments may be remote, on-site, or hybrid, with deployments ranging from short-term technical assistance to extended engagements, emphasizing compliance with FEMA and other program requirements to maximize recovery funding.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years FEMA Public Assistance experience supporting applicants or disaster recovery engagements.
• Knowledge of FEMA PA policy, eligibility, and PAPPG.
• Experience with project formulation, PW development, and grant documentation review.
• Experience responding to RFIs and handling reimbursement requests.
• Experience using FEMA Grants Manager/Portal.
• Strong written, verbal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with limited notice.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel throughout the United States.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to applicants through FEMA PA lifecycle.
• Educate and ensure FEMA policy compliance and program requirements.
• Assist with PDAs, recovery scoping, PW development, and closeout activities.
• Support cost analyses, reimbursements, and grant documentation.
• Maintain records and provide timely updates to leadership.
• Collaborate with federal/state partners, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve documentation gaps and compliance risks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
