Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Saint Louis, MO seeks a Crisis Counselor CCP-Grant to provide outreach, emotional support, and crisis counseling to individuals and groups affected by disasters. You will deliver education on coping strategies and recovery resources while building partnerships with local agencies.

You will connect people to services, participate in trainings, and support recovery initiatives with flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in disaster response, crisis intervention, or community outreach preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach, emotional support, and crisis counseling to individuals, families, and groups impacted by disasters.
• Deliver presentations and educational sessions on disaster reactions, coping strategies, and recovery resources.
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners, agencies, and local organizations.
• Connect individuals to appropriate services and resources through referrals and follow-up support.
• Represent the CCP in community outreach and engagement efforts.
• Attend and complete required trainings and program activities.
