Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; preference for experience in day or residential programs serving persons with disabilities.
• Language Ability: Must read, write and understand English; strong oral and written communication.
• Math Ability: Basic mathematical concepts.
• Computer Skills: Working knowledge of personal computers (highly desirable).
• Driving Skills: Valid CDL and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and one-to-one instruction daily.
• Provide direct personal care (including bathroom duties) as needed.
• Assist with behavioral management techniques per instructional plans.
• Record data on ISP objectives progress daily.
• Maintain classroom equipment and general facility cleanliness.
• Meet Community Care Licensing regulations (Title 17 & 22).
• Develop rapport with customers, staff, and stakeholders; provide transportation as needed.
• Contribute to development of individualized service plan objectives.
