Job summary

Center For Family Services seeks a Disability Assistant for Mosaic Early Learning. The role supports the teacher in daily activities, planning, and observations, and works with children with disabilities to ensure safety and compliance.

The position involves daily collaboration with the mental health team and parents, meal supervision, bus duties, and attendance at IEP meetings as needed. A CDA or higher is required, with at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• CDA or higher is required; AA in special needs or related field preferred
• Two years of experience working with children with disabilities
• Maintain First Aid and CPR certifications
• Must pass criminal background checks, drug screening and physical exam
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record for at least three years
• Vehicle with current insurance and registration

Responsibilities

• Completes documentation and reporting requirements.
• Attends required staff meetings and trainings.
• Supports classroom teachers with activities and observations.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
• Provides support to children with special needs and monitors safety.
• Notifies bus driver or supervisor of safety concerns and assists on field trips.
