Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in special education, mental health, or related field.
• Knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start program standards preferred.
• Experience with disability services and family engagement is preferred.
• Bilingual abilities (English-Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes lead in developing and administering the Disabilities Work Plan and ensures staff are familiar with it.
• Ensures compliance with IDEA and ADA in disability services for Head Start/Early Head Start.
• Coordinates recruitment of children with disabilities into the program with staff and community agencies.
• Participates in IEP/IFSP processes and maintains related documentation.
• Develops policies for disability program implementation with parents and staff.
• Collaborates with LEAs and service providers to integrate services and conduct Joint trainings.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in special education or mental health/disabilities area, child development/early childhood education field
