Qualifications

• 1+ year of Disability/FMLA/PFL claims or insurance claims experience.
• Experience with FINEOS system.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and documents.
• Knowledge of disability insurance claims, benefits administration, offsets and deductions.
• Excellent oral and written communication and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide absence case management and claim adjudications based on medical documentation.
• Review claim nuances, eligibility, and type of claims (intermittent or continuous).
• Approve or deny FMLA claims per guidelines and carriers.
• Determine benefits due and ensure timely payments and adjustments.
• Identify escalated cases and coordinate with team lead for action.
• Communicate clearly with claimants and clients by phone or written correspondence.
• Manage day-to-day workload and support continuous process improvement.
