Job summary

Vadis is seeking an Employment Consultant to help individuals with disabilities find meaningful employment and to support community partners in becoming more inclusive. You will collaborate with businesses, school districts, state partners, and other agencies to advance Vadis’ mission.

Your role includes facilitating referrals, coaching clients, and building relationships with the business community to secure job opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and clear communication with clients, families, employers, educators, funders, and community.
• Facilitation of referral meetings and intake of clients, including explanation of services and skill/vocational assessment.
• Facilitation of person-centered planning to assist clients in meeting employment goals.
• Personal vehicle use and valid driver’s license may be required for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Help clients build work readiness, social, and self-advocacy skills through work experiences and coaching.
• Develop relationships with the business community to secure jobs for people with disabilities.
• Coordinate client job starts and provide on-site training and guidance to clients and coworkers.
• Collaborate with partners to support client employment opportunities.
