Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in social services or related field.
• Four years direct customer service experience in a clinical or social service environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with publicly-funded programs; TANF experience preferable.
• Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of a team assisting customers to receive federal disability benefits.
• Supports an assigned caseload and follows up on applications.
• Makes regular contact with customers to review status and required documentation for SSA submission.
• Provides counseling and support to comply with requests and deadlines.
• May conduct workshops and outreach to re-engage customers in the process.
