Harnham is seeking a Director of Workforce Technology Engineering to shape the enterprise HR technology roadmap and lead a global engineering organization across the U.S. and India.

The role focuses on Oracle HCM modernization, AI-powered automation, and scalable, self-service capabilities for a large workforce. The ideal candidate will drive modernization initiatives, establish engineering standards, and partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and executives to deliver enterprise technology solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a global Workforce Technology Engineering organization supporting teams across the U.S. and India.
  • Define the technology strategy, architecture, and multi-year roadmap for enterprise workforce technology platforms.
  • Drive modernization initiatives across Oracle HCM and related HR technologies.
  • Build scalable AI, automation, chatbot, and self-service capabilities that improve the employee experience.
  • Establish engineering standards across cloud architecture, APIs, integrations, security, and enterprise data.
  • Evaluate build, buy, configure, extend, and retire decisions across workforce technology platforms.
  • Partner closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and executive business leaders to deliver enterprise technology solutions.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global engineering organization.
  • Champion engineering best practices, operational excellence, platform reliability, and security.
  • Lead large-scale technology transformation initiatives from strategy through execution.

About the Opportunity

A global semiconductor company is seeking a Director of Workforce Technology Engineering to help shape the future of enterprise workforce technology. Serving industries including automotive, industrial automation, communications, consumer electronics, and artificial intelligence, the organization supports a large global workforce and continues to invest heavily in AI, automation, and digital transformation.

Reporting into senior technology leadership, the Director of Workforce Technology Engineering will define the long-term technology roadmap for enterprise HR systems while leading a global engineering organization across the U.S. and India. The role will drive Oracle HCM modernization, advance AI-powered automation and self-service capabilities, and partner closely with business leaders to deliver scalable workforce technology solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of technology leadership experience supporting enterprise applications.
  • Experience leading global engineering teams across multiple geographic regions.
  • Deep expertise with Oracle HCM architecture, engineering, and platform integrations.
  • Strong background supporting enterprise HR technology platforms.
  • Experience designing cloud-native architectures, APIs, integrations, and modern engineering solutions.
  • Proven success leading enterprise technology modernization initiatives.
  • Ability to partner effectively with executive stakeholders across HR and other business functions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Oracle HCM certifications.
  • Experience with UKG and Databricks.
  • Experience implementing AI-enabled enterprise solutions, including GenAI, intelligent automation, or chatbot technologies.
  • Experience leading enterprise workforce technology transformations.
  • Knowledge of compliance, governance, audit, and security requirements related to HR technology.
  • Experience working within large, complex global organizations.
