Job description

In This Role

Enterprise System Expertise

• Develop and execute the technology roadmap for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Yard Management Systems (YMS), and related tools
• Utilize WMS data to improve warehouse processes, such as picking, packing, and receiving
• Oversee strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of WMS, TMS, and YMS platforms
• Manage third‑party vendors and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), including performance and relationships
• Lead RFP/RFI processes, vendor selection, and contract negotiations
• Ensure seamless integration between logistics systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle)
• Drive end‑to‑end implementation of enterprise logistics systems
• Create metrics to measure system performance with operational productivity, risks, and ROI
• Manage systems for high‑volume, multi‑site distribution environments (e.g., facilities exceeding 1 million square feet) with a focus on both B2B and direct‑to‑consumer fulfillment
• Collaborate with IT, Operations, and Supply Chain leadership to align technology with business goals

Strategic Modernization & Innovation

• Lead warehouse modernization initiatives, including automation technologies (e.g., Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), or sophisticated conveyor sorting systems)
• Implement AI‑driven solutions for inventory optimization, labor forecasting, and route planning
• Monitor system performance and scalability to support business growth

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead and mentor team to deliver results aligned with Four Hands' strategic objectives
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, encouraging idea sharing and best practices
• Foster individual growth and skill enhancement through regular feedback, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
• Monitor progress towards goals through regular check‑ins and performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and guidance

The Ideal Person

• 12+ years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, logistics or enterprise systems leadership
• 6+ years of experience in third‑party management, tier1 and 2 WMS platforms, and integrating with ERP systems. Experience in the CPG industry is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, IT or relevant discipline
• Proven experience in a similar senior role, logistics, distribution operations, and WMS platforms (e.g., Infios/Koerber, Blue Rock)
• Expert‑level experience in vendor selection (RFP/RFI processes), contract negotiation, and managing third‑party Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
