Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 10 years of experience in related field preferred
• In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in related field is acceptable
• Healthcare operations or value-based care experience is a plus

Job Description

We're seeking a Director of Value Based Care Operations & Execution to join the Value Program Strategy and Operations Team. You will lead the operational execution and delivery of value-based care programs across the enterprise. This role is accountable for ensuring programs are implemented effectively, operational barriers are resolved, and cross-functional teams are aligned to deliver results tied to enterprise goals and objectives. This role operates across a federated environment to coordinate clinical, network, finance, actuarial, analytics, and operational stakeholders, ensuring value-based care programs are executed consistently and at scale. The position is responsible for driving accountability, establishing operational discipline, and ensuring programs translate into measurable outcomes. You will be partnering with performance, finance, and strategy teams but retain accountability for execution and operational delivery.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end execution of value-based care programs, ensuring alignment between program requirements and operational delivery.
• Drive execution across cross-functional teams, holding stakeholders accountable for delivery against defined timelines and objectives.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience
• In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in related field

• Demonstrated experience leading execution of complex, cross-functional healthcare programs in both Commercial and Medicare Advantage.
• Strong understanding of value-based care program structures and operational requirements.
• Experience working across clinical, financial, and operational domains.
• Experience working with provider organizations, health systems, and clinically integrated networks.
• Proven ability to operate effectively in matrixed or federated environments.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
