Century Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Director of Translational Sciences to lead translational strategy for early clinical programs, with a focus on Type 1 Diabetes and CAR‑T therapies.

You will drive biomarker development, assay validation, and CRO oversight while building a high‑performing team and representing translational science externally. The role reports to the Head of Immunology & Translational Sciences and requires a proven track record in translating biomarker data into clinical

Qualifications

• PhD or other advanced degree in Immunology, Translational Medicine, Cell & Gene Therapy or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in clinical translational science, biomarker development, or bioanalysis with leadership in early clinical development.
• Demonstrated track record of driving translational strategies through IND, first‑in‑human, and early‑phase milestones.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive translational science strategy across Century’s early clinical pipeline, aligning with objectives and priorities.
• Serve as primary scientific owner of translational strategy for T1D and CAR‑T programs, integrating biomarker objectives into protocols and timelines.
• Lead development and execution of translational and biomarker strategies to support early‑phase trials, including first‑in‑human studies.
• Oversee translational assay development and validation, ensuring fit‑for‑purpose and GCP/GLP compliance.
