Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking a strategic, analytically driven real estate investment professional to join our Acquisitions team in Highlands Ranch, CO. This on-site role focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and executing multifamily investments across identified markets.

You will oversee financial analysis, underwriting, due diligence, and portfolio valuation while advancing AI tools and cross-functional processes to move complex transactions forward in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of real estate investment experience in acquisitions, dispositions, or related roles.
  • Strong financial modeling, underwriting, and due diligence capabilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial analysis of potential acquisitions, dispositions, and other deals to determine feasibility.
  • Oversee due diligence coordination with transaction counterparties and internal teams.
  • Coordinate transition processes for acquisitions and dispositions to onboard/offload communities.
  • Drive AI initiatives and tooling improvements within the acquisitions group.
  • Maintain portfolio valuations using internal models and broker opinions.

Job description

UDR is seeking a strategic, analytically driven real estate investment professional to join our Acquisitions team. This high-impact role will help source, evaluate, and execute multifamily investment opportunities across UDR's identified target markets, including acquisitions, DCP opportunities, vacant land, and dispositions.

Working closely with senior investment leaders and cross-functional partners, this individual will oversee financial analysis, underwriting, due diligence, transaction transitions, and portfolio valuations. The role will also help advance the department's use of AI, strengthen existing processes, build industry relationships, and support the continued development of the acquisition analyst team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strong real estate investment experience with sound judgment, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to move multiple complex transactions forward in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the financial analysis of potential acquisitions, dispositions, and other types of deals to determine economic feasibility.
  • Manage the due diligence process for acquisitions, dispositions, and other types of deals, including coordination with transaction counterparties and across departments at UDR.
  • Manage the transition process for acquisitions and dispositions, allowing UDR Operations to onboard and offload communities.
  • Drive the department's AI initiatives, including the creation of new tools and improvement of existing processes.
  • Maintain valuations of communities in UDR's portfolio, including internal models and Broker Opinions of Value on likely disposition candidates.
  • Work with senior members of the investment team to execute the disposition strategy set by UDR's Capital Committee.
  • Provide expertise/oversight in financial modeling/underwriting process.
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is included in pro formas and financial projections for acquisitions.
  • Work to develop relationships within the industry to help identify future transaction opportunities.
  • Respond to questions from management and provide ad-hoc analyses that benefit all groups across the Company platform.
  • Hire and train new staff and develop staff to maximize potential.
  • Develop and/or modify training materials for analyst pool.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.

Work Environment This is an on-site position located at our headquarters in Highlands Ranch, CO. Occasional travel, evening, or weekend work may occur around key project deadlines or implementations.

Salary Range
  • $140,000.00/yr. - $165,000.00/yr., depending on experience
Bonus Potential
  • Eligible for 30% annual bonus potential, based on personal and company performance
