Job summary

Solstice Advanced Materials is seeking a Director of Transaction Accounting to lead a global team across AP, T&E, and Cash Application. As Director of Transaction Accounting - Solstice Advanced Materials, you will lead and oversee a global team supporting our high-volume transactional services, including Accounts Payable, Travel and Entertainment (T&E) expense, and Cash Application operations. As a member of the Controller’s Leadership team, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, timely, compliant service delivery to our internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers,

In this role, you will partner closely with Procurement, Customer Service, IT, other Finance functions and our third party partners to deliver, streamline and improve processes, implement best practices, and enhance efficiency and accuracy across the global teams executing these functions. Your agility and attention to detail will be essential in identifying and resolving service delivery issues and maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

This role requires deep knowledge of high-volume transaction processing operations, primarily in the Accounts Payable and T&E spaces, the ability to manage a multi-site team, and familiarity with the requirements of global operations across multiple countries.

Success in this position depends on cultural and emotional intelligence, flexibility to support multiple time zones, and a strong problem-solving, service‑oriented mindset. As the Director of Transaction Services, you will operate with a high sense of urgency and accountability to ensure reliable and responsive execution and delivery from our internal team and our third party partners.

This role reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and is based in Morris Plains, NJ, operating on a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee global Accounts Payable, T&E, and Cash Application operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing for entities across 20+ countries in multiple regions
• Manage a team of over 20 individuals across multiple locations and time zones
• Monitor and/or implement Key Performance Indicators to measure and monitor performance and identify areas for process improvement focus
• Partner with cross functional teams (Procurement, Customer Service, IT and Finance) to streamline processes, and implement best practices
• Ensure compliance with country specific regulatory requirements, in all operating countries
• Implement or improve procedures for review and response to AP and T&E related inquiries, delivering responsive, high quality support to employees and vendors
• When issues occur, review to determine root cause, propose corrective actions, and drive timely resolution of critical issues
• Manage relationships with our global service providers and system and banking partners, ensuring accountability for timely, accurate service delivery
• Escalate significant vendor or customer risks or issues as needed and lead corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  Document and maintain processes and procedures to support our internal control environment and knowledge transfer as needed
• Collaborate with cross functional and cross cultural teams to provide required data for general ledger activities, journal entries, and business reporting
• Identify and lead initiatives to drive process efficiency and improvement, including evaluation and implementation of AI tools to drive transformation.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• 10+ years of experience delivering these types of services in a global organization, with 5+ years of experience leading teams for these functions
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Proven experience leading and empowering teams, driving performance through coaching and strategic prioritization while ensuring timely, accurate, service delivery
• Hands‑on experience with Accounts Payable operations
• Strong knowledge of invoice and payment processing, and experience working with related regulations and tax laws in multiple countries
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills

PAY RANGE

The annual base salary range for this position is $199,887 - 249,270. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
