We are looking to hire a Director of Teacher Training who will be responsible for leading the organization’s teacher development strategy, ensuring excellence and consistency in instructional quality across all programs and campuses. This leadership role oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of professional development initiatives, instructional coaching programs, and teaching standards.

The ideal candidate is an experienced educational leader with a strong background in teacher development, instructional excellence, and program management. This individual will partner closely with academic leadership to strengthen teaching effectiveness, support educator growth, and drive outstanding student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the organization-wide teacher training and professional development strategy.
  • Design scalable training programs that support instructional excellence and consistency across all locations.
  • Oversee the creation of teacher training materials, instructional resources, and workshop content.
  • Lead and manage instructional coaches, training managers, and teacher development staff.
  • Establish and maintain teaching standards, evaluation frameworks, and instructional best practices.
  • Partner with academic leadership to identify training priorities and address instructional challenges.
  • Analyze teacher performance data, classroom observations, and feedback to improve training effectiveness.
  • Lead workshops, seminars, and leadership development sessions for teachers and academic staff.
  • Support implementation of educational technologies and innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Manage training calendars, budgets, staffing, and program execution.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, collaboration, and instructional excellence.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Educational Leadership, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in teaching, instructional coaching, teacher training, or academic leadership.
  • 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
  • Demonstrated success designing and leading large-scale professional development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of instructional best practices, pedagogy, and teacher evaluation.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred
  • Master's degree or higher in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field.
  • Experience in K-12 or supplemental education organizations.
  • Background in math education or STEM instruction.
  • Experience managing distributed or multi-site training programs.
  • Familiarity with learning technologies, LMS platforms, and instructional analytics.
