Job summary

Zenas BioPharma, Inc. seeks a Director of Tax to lead global tax and treasury functions. The role combines tax strategy, compliance, transfer pricing, and planning with day-to-day treasury responsibilities. You will partner with Finance, Legal, and executives to support growth from clinical to commercial stages.

The position requires extensive BAC/tax experience, CPA or advanced degree, and strong GAAP/SEC knowledge. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 10+ years corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or industry.
• 5+ years public company ASC 740 provision experience.
• Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and international income tax.
• Knowledge of transfer pricing, R&D credits, and debt/royalty financing tax treatment.
• Treasury operations including cash forecasting, investments, and debt administration.
• GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX controls proficiency.
• Ability to manage external advisors and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global tax planning strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Oversee ASC 740 provision process and tax return filings.
• Manage external tax advisors and define scope of work and budgets.
• Own transfer pricing policies and international structuring.
• Oversee R&D tax credits analyses with internal and external teams.
• Administer treasury operations including cash management and liquidity.
• Maintain SOX controls and drive automation within tax and treasury.
