Credo Semiconductor is seeking a Director of System Validation Engineering to define and lead the validation strategy for DSP chips and related products, including AECs and ZF modules, used in AI clusters, cloud infrastructure, HPC, and data centers. The role focuses on validation planning, execution, automation, and customer-ready qualification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in system validation, hardware testing, product qualification, or related roles.
  • Five years of technical leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet standards/PCIe compliance/InfiniBand architecture/CXL ecosystem.
  • Strong experience with high-speed interconnect technologies and networking systems.
  • Deep understanding of SI, system-level validation, protocol testing, hardware debugging, root-cause analysis, Linux environments, and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Build a cloud-native platform to unify factory, validation, and field telemetry.
  • Formalize expertise in NIC/switch interop to accelerate root-cause resolution.
  • Use continuous AI/ML-driven feedback loops to optimize DSP and link performance.
  • Expand validation to cover Ethernet, PCIe, and CXL at a system level.
  • Own the system validation roadmap and qualification plan for DSP chips and related product families.
  • Lead validation activities from engineering development through internal qualification.
  • Establish validation methodologies, test coverage metrics, and quality standards.
  • Drive risk assessment and validation readiness reviews throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Validate functionality, performance, and interoperability across platforms and ecosystems.
  • Verify compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Perform end-to-end link validation in server, switch, storage, and AI accelerator environments.

Job description

Director, System Validation Engineering

The Director, System Validation Engineering is responsible for defining and leading the system-level validation strategy for DSP chips and related products such as AEC and ZF modules used in next-generation AI clusters, cloud infrastructure, high-performance computing (HPC), and data center networks. This role provides technical leadership for validation planning, execution, automation, interoperability testing, and root-cause analysis to ensure product quality and customer readiness.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in high-speed interconnect technologies with strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and customer-facing problem-solving skills.

Base salary range is $200,000 - $250,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Basic Qualifications
