Job summary

University of California, Merced seeks a Director for the Students First Center to lead enrollment service operations, policy development, and staff performance. You will ensure seamless, student-centered services across recruitment, admissions, financial aid, registration, and billing.

The role requires advancing strategic plans, leveraging CRM systems, and managing budgets to support UC Merced’s enrollment goals and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience with Financial Aid, Registrar, Admissions, or related campus departments.
• CRM experience and working knowledge of a Student Information System (SIS) such as Banner.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and leadership for two One Stop Student Services Centers (UC Merced and UC Online).
• Direct unit strategy, tools, and resources for efficient, student-centered service delivery.
• Coach and develop staff; manage performance, salary actions, and hiring decisions.
• Oversee budgets and fiscal resources for the Students First Center and related funds.
• Collaborate with campus leaders to plan enrollment-related services and improvements.
