Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Director, Financial Analysis within Wealth Management Finance to drive analytical excellence and strategic decision support. The role offers exposure to executive leadership, strategic planning, and enterprise decision-making in a hybrid work model.

You will develop business cases, financial models, scorecards, and presentations for senior leaders, collaborating across functions to align initiatives with growth priorities. Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in finance, strategy, corporate development, analytics, FP&A, or related fields.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
• Experience developing business cases and evaluating strategic opportunities.
• Ability to work with large datasets and translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Advanced Excel and familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to lead initiatives and drive outcomes through collaboration and influence.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial analysis and business case development for strategic initiatives and investments.
• Support acquisition activity through valuation, modeling, due diligence, and executive decision support.
• Partner with business leaders to develop and evaluate strategic initiatives and long-term growth opportunities.
• Support Wealth Management strategic planning with initiative-level modeling and low-range projections.
• Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and insights.
• Develop and enhance scorecards, dashboards, performance metrics, and analytical frameworks.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Act as a trusted thought partner on high-priority and often ambiguous business challenges.
