Job summary

Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti seeks a Director, Staff and Command Programs to guide the Staff and Command offerings within the College of Arts and Sciences. You will direct all administrative and operational activities, support student success, and build partnerships with public safety agencies across multiple locations.

This on-campus leadership role requires budget planning, grant coordination, curriculum development, and collaboration with faculty and administrators to expand

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Public Administration, Public Policy, Business, Non-profit Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Five+ years of project management, conference/event planning, curriculum, writing, contract development, and admin experience is expected.
• Experience building enrollment pipelines and working with grants/funding is valued.
• Knowledge of police/fire service culture and external partnerships is essential.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the Staff and Command Programs across multiple locations within EMU.
• Prepare and manage budgets, proposals, status reports, and financial statements.
• Develop revenue models and pursue grants for Staff and Command projects.
• Create curricula for new student learning opportunities in proposed programs.
• Collaborate with the Foundation on fundraising campaigns and contract development.
• Lead community/university programs based on directives and market analysis.
• Develop strategic plans and support CAS in related initiatives.
• Oversee operations and vendor relations, and coordinate with academic departments.
• Foster relationships with university units and external organizations.
