Job summary
Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Director 2 – Systems Engineering Discipline Lead in Redondo Beach, CA. You will lead a growing Systems Engineering organization across Western Region locations, guiding strategy, people leadership, and technical oversight.
The role requires deep SEIT expertise, program leadership across lifecycle stages, and ability to align engineering capabilities with sector goals. Travel up to 25% and a competitive salary are included.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM required.
- Demonstrated experience leading large SEIT teams.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Active Top Secret and SCI clearance at time of application.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across major SE disciplines.
- Drive long‑range strategic planning and organizational alignment.
- Lead efforts to optimize processes, tools, and staffing for SE across multiple sites.
- Oversee reviews and ensure compliance with program milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR).
- Manage budgets and resources to meet sector and corporate priorities.
- Foster a culture of high performance, inclusion, and disciplined execution.
