Job summary

Plexus Corp in the Americas seeks a Director of Automation & Digital Manufacturing to transform how manufacturing is designed, automated and digitally connected across six AMER sites. You will lead strategy and deployment of next-gen technologies, helping shape the future of high‑reliability manufacturing for Healthcare, Industrial and Aerospace & Defense.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
10+ years in manufacturing engineering and automation show depth of experience.
7+ years leading technical organizations demonstrates leadership.
Experience translating enterprise strategy into scalable site execution.
Capital planning, business-case development and value realization are key.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management are essential.
Travel up to 20% of the time is expected.

Responsibilities

Define and lead the multi-year roadmap for manufacturing automation across AMER.
Lead digital manufacturing and smart factory initiatives with MES, PLM, data platforms and AI apps.
Build and manage a portfolio of automation investments with governance and metrics.
Establish common architectures and scalable design methodologies across regions.
Partner with sites to integrate automation early in new product introductions.
Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing automation and digital manufacturing team.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, IT, Quality and Supply Chain at the executive level.
