Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a senior HR leader to manage clinical staff across regions, driving staffing, onboarding, training, and resourcing strategies. You will oversee performance, budgeting, and process improvements while collaborating with senior management to enhance project outcomes and client service.

This role requires strategic leadership in human resources within regulated clinical settings and a proven ability to mentor staff and optimize operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing staff in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
  • Experience directing hiring and selection for clinical staff; candidate review and interviewing processes.
  • Ability to develop onboarding processes and training plans for regions/offices/countries.
  • Leadership in clinical resourcing, budgeting, and quality metrics across regions.
  • Coaching and mentoring of junior staff to improve performance and service quality.

  • Direct the hiring and selection process for a group of clinical staff by conducting candidate review through participation in the interviewing process.
  • Establish onboarding processes; develop standard processes to ensure staff have materials, systems access and training to complete responsibilities.
  • Oversee training plan execution, SOP review and mentored training experiences across region/office/country.
  • Lead country/region clinical resourcing through evaluation of resource alternatives and proactive planning with study team leadership.
  • Evaluate clinical work product quality and regional workload, quality and budget metrics with regular reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior management to improve efficiencies, project outcomes and quality metrics for clinical projects.
  • Coach and mentor lower-level staff; work with project leadership to manage challenges and deliver customer service.
  • Analyze and review budgets for clinical studies; plan budget consumption and guide line managers.
  • Conduct Clinical Project Review and participate in Project Management Review as per regional guidelines.
  • Participate in corporate or departmental quality or process improvement initiatives.
  • May act as a client liaison.

  • Establish methods to develop and evaluate office/region-based onboarding processes. Develop standard processes to ensure that staff has the proper materials, systems access and training to complete job responsibilities.

  • Oversee the execution of the training plan, SOP review and mentored training experiences for a region/office/country.

  • Provide a leadership role in country/region clinical resourcing process through continual evaluation of existing and future resource alternatives, pro-active planning and collaboration with study team leadership and operational peers.

  • Evaluate the quality of the clinical work product for a variety of job roles and/or a specialized job function. Evaluate regional workload, quality and budget metrics through regular review and reporting of findings.

  • Collaborate with senior management and other functional leadership to improve efficiencies, project outcomes and quality metrics for clinical projects.

  • Act as a coach and mentor for lower-level staff as they develop in their role. Works collaboratively with project leadership including the PM, client representatives and other functional leadership to manage project related challenges and to achieve exemplary customer service.

  • Analyze and reviews budgets for clinical studies within region. Pro-actively plan for appropriate clinical operations budget consumption and guides line managers and CRSs in managing variances and in developing corrective fiscal action plans.

  • Conduct Clinical Project Review and participates in Project Management Review according to regional guidelines and interfaces with appropriate functional leadership to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Participate and may lead corporate or departmental quality or process improvement initiatives.

  • May act as a client liaison.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $119,400.00 - $332,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
