ASPCA seeks a Director of Shelter Medicine Clinical Training in New York City. You will lead a nationally recognized shelter medicine residency, supervise residents, and develop curricula aligned with ABVP standards.

The role requires collaboration with SMS and external partners to deliver compassionate veterinary care across programs. You will travel up to 15% for consultations, with remote work options up to 20% when not supervising in NYC locations.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinarian in New York or able to obtain NYS licensure within 60 days.
• Minimum five years of veterinary experience.
• Board certification in Shelter Medicine preferred.

Responsabilités

• Direct supervision of NYC-based residents and support in procedures, surgery, and oral health assessments.
• Develop and oversee a robust shelter medicine residency training program with ABVP credentials requirements.
• Collaborate with SMS and external partners to deliver high-quality, compassionate veterinary care.
• Coordinate resident learning experiences and ensure timely scheduling of services across locations.
• Provide feedback, performance evaluations, and mentorship to residents; supervise on-call coverage.
