Job summary

Disney's Hulu content acquisitions team is seeking a Director, Scripted TV who will lead all aspects of the licensed content strategy and acquisition process. You will evaluate opportunities, define licensing strategy through rigorous analysis, and negotiate directly with content partners.

You will work across Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution and other internal teams, blending quantitative output with strategic insight to drive deals at breakneck pace.

Qualifications

• Experience in licensing scripted TV and negotiating deals.
• Ability to analyze data and craft strategy.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the licensed content strategy and acquisition process for Scripted TV.
• Formulate dynamic content strategies and communicate them internally and externally.
• Track and vet new content for quality and fit with scripted programming strategies.
• Develop and own strategic relationships with content partners and negotiate licensing deals.
• Collaborate with Finance and Legal to value content opportunities and negotiate within budget.
• Leverage deal experience and relationships to evaluate content within budget constraints.
• Partner with Marketing, Scheduling, Product, and PR to implement deal parameters.
• Complete long-term and ad-hoc projects to support the broader strategy.
