ADP is seeking a Director of Sales Operations to lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and embedding complex programs with strong change management and executive engagement.

You will partner with Marketing, Finance, Sales Operations, and Service to ensure successful adoption across the organization. You will guide multi-workstream teams, drive adoption metrics, and manage program scope, budget, and risk.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in leading cross-functional transformation or multi-year programs.
  • 7+ years of enterprise-level experience in transformation initiatives.
  • Experience liaising with senior leadership and multiple functional partners.

Job description

ADP Worldwide Commercial Operations is hiring a Director of Sales Operations to lead complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on leading large-scale transformation with complexity, bringing structure, clarity, and alignment to fast-paced change initiatives while guiding the organization and its people through them. You'll architect and drive strategic transformation/complex programs, embed change management, and build partnerships across functions and senior-level executives. You'll work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure change doesn't just launch, it lands, and it sticks.

Here's What You Can Expect On a Typical Day
  • Leads the design, integration, and delivery of large, complex initiatives spanning go-to-market (ex: operating model shifts, organizational restructuring, and process/technology change).
  • Develops and executes end-to-end change management strategies, including stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, organizational readiness assessments, communications planning, training and enablement, and adoption measurement as needed for the projects.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between functional teams such as Marketing, Finance, Sales Operations, Service, implementation, GPT, and is accountable for managing the overall transformation success of the project or program.
  • Builds and manages communications cascades across all levels of the organization, executive briefings, leader talking points, field-facing messaging, and feedback loops ensuring the right audiences hear the right message at the right time.
  • Acts as the primary contact for project/programs for all workstreams and senior management, including sponsors, steering committees, and executive stakeholders.
  • Monitors adoption, utilization, and proficiency of changes; identifies resistance and performance gaps and develops corrective actions and reinforcement plans.
  • Leads strategic complex projects/programs and Steering Committee meetings as needed.
  • Applies structured change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter) alongside program management disciplines in Scope, Schedule, Cost, Issue, Risk, Quality, Human Resource, Communication, and Contract Management.
  • Establishes, manages, and publishes comprehensive transformation roadmaps and change plans, including sequencing, dependencies, resource requirements, and integration of third-party partners when applicable.
  • Motivates and directs cross-functional workstream teams; sets goals, objectives, and priorities; assigns and reviews work against key milestone deliverables.
  • Ensure PMO methodology, processes, and tools are consistently used.
  • Accountable for project/program outcomes, adoption, business results, client satisfaction, and quality of deliverables not just on-time delivery.
  • Responsible for defining success criteria and measuring health. What are the key metrics defined for the success of the project/program.
  • Manages the overall program budget and coordinates requests for incremental funding if deemed necessary.
  • Ultimately responsible for obtaining approvals on scope changes, escalating critical path issues, and resolving team resource conflicts.
Experience
  • You have 5+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role, including 7+ years of enterprise-level experience leading medium to large cross-functional transformation and/or multi-year change programs.
To Succeed In This Role
  • Change management experience, including stakeholder engagement, executive alignment, communications strategy, training/enablement, resistance management, and adoption measurement.
  • Program Management experience, including demonstrated success leading programs with high complexity and multiple dependencies across Scope, Schedule, Cost, Issue, Risk, Quality, Human Resource, Communication, and Contract Management.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-workstream programs, including leading and directing multiple project teams of 20+ cross-functional associates across the enterprise.
  • Proven track record of maintaining effective relationships and influencing without authority in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders and project teams, and to perform well under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills for managing multiple, diverse initiatives with competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and team leadership skills, comfortable presenting to and advising senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive-level managers in a transformation setting where risk is substantial and communication requirements are highly complex.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with workstream where the team is large, geographically dispersed, and may have conflicting priorities and/or goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain highly complex, leveled, and balanced transformation plans using Smartsheet or other comparable Project Management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks, including people and adoption risks to meet program objectives successfully.

The compensation for this role is USD $114,500.00 - USD $213,500.00 / Year*.

  • Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
