Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle (PFS) to lead the ongoing development, implementation and oversight of Revenue Cycle operations across the organization. You will steer the Epic Revenue Cycle platform and align Patient Access, Single Billing Office and Revenue Integrity to meet organizational goals.

The role requires strong leadership within matrix teams, healthcare expertise and advanced education.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s in healthcare or business preferred; Master’s degree preferred.
• Management: 4+ years in a management or director level role; demonstrate strong leadership within matrix teams.
• Healthcare/Business: Detailed knowledge of Patient Accounting, HIM or Patient Access; expert healthcare knowledge.
• Epic: Prior experience with Epic Systems Revenue Cycle Solutions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to development, implementation and oversight of Revenue Cycle operations across Cook Children's Health Care System.
• Oversee Epic Revenue Cycle implementation and ongoing daily functions supporting Cook Children's Medical Center and Cook Children's Physician Network.
• Coordinate with Patient Access, Single Billing Office, Revenue Integrity and Clinical Units to ensure efficient, cost-effective Revenue Cycle operations.
• Manage staff development, vendor relationships and transition plans for Revenue Cycle systems.

Accountable for the planning and successful transition of Revenue Cycle systems, organizational and operational development of staff within all applicable patient accounting applications (including billing, follow-up collections, bad debt, associated third party applications, and vendor management). Partners with Patient Access, Single Billing Office, Revenue Integrity, Clinical and Business Units then re that Revenue Cycle application and operational needs are performed efficient and cost effective while meeting then needs and goals of the organization.Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.
