Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist License in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and supervises the administration of the Respiratory Care program including staffing, training and scheduling.
• Oversees instructional activities and student/applicant activities in the program.
• Assists the Director in data preparation for special projects through data gathering, analysis and presentation.
• Maintains knowledge and skills; ensures compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Recommends long-range plans and learning maps to support missions; performs other duties as required.

The incumbent works collaboratively with the educational partners to ensure compliance to accreditation guidelines. Work Experience Required - 4 years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist including two years of experience in clinical respiratory care, two years of experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor and experience working both independently and within a flexible team environment.

Certifications Required - Current Respiratory Therapist License in the state of practice

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Must have high level of computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard Strong organizational skills Strong time management skills Strong conflict resolution skills
