Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC seeks a Director of Regulatory Affairs for a hybrid role to lead compliance programs across accreditation and certifications (TJC, CMS, state DOH). You will align policies, educate leadership, and coordinate surveys to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Key duties include interpreting regulatory requirements, developing corrective actions, coordinating mock surveys, and serving as a regulatory resource to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree required; healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited school of nursing, public health, or related clinical discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and operationalize regulatory requirements.
  • Support regulatory communications and notifications.
  • Provide staff and leadership education related to regulatory standards.
  • Developing and revising policies and documentation.
  • Coordinating virtual and onsite accreditation and regulatory surveys.
  • Coordinating mock surveys conducted by external consultants or the JHHS OAC.
  • Developing corrective action plans and monitoring long-term compliance improvements.
  • Collaborating on special projects.
  • Serving as a regulatory resource and consultant to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participating in organizational and health system committees.
