Job summary

Thrasher Family Holdings seeks a Director of Real Estate to lead the family’s real estate strategy and investment activity, from managing a $100 million operating portfolio to pursuing new opportunities.

The role combines portfolio oversight of about 15 facilities with building an active investment program, including direct acquisitions and fund investments, under close collaboration with finance, risk, and legal partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business or related field.
8–12+ years of experience in commercial real estate investment, asset management, or corporate real estate.
Strong financial modeling, underwriting, and analytical skills.
Excellent negotiation, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
Willingness to travel regularly across portfolio locations.

Responsibilities

Lead ownership of the approximately 15 operating facilities and maximize value.
Maintain current view of portfolio condition, valuations, and capital needs.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate purchases of new facilities.
Lead due diligence, underwriting, and closing coordination with partners.
Develop and execute investment strategy including direct acquisitions and funds.
Oversee day-to-day property management and planned maintenance.
Manage leases, rents, and tenant relationships.
Coordinate with accounting, tax, risk, and insurance teams.
Provide strategic portfolio insights to leadership.
