Agropur in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Director Product Innovation to oversee the Protein Applications Center and serve as the technical expert for whey-derived ingredients. This role guides the product development portfolio and supports the sales team with innovative solutions.

You'll lead a team, drive project design and plant trials, partner with marketing, and cultivate relationships with academic experts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in food science or related field required.
• PhD in food science or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Five plus years of product development experience with proteins, preferably milk-derived.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the Protein Applications Center.
• Provide technical leadership for whey-derived ingredients.
• Guide product development to meet evolving market needs.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to support customers.
• Lead hiring, performance reviews, and staff development.
