Responsibilities

• Drive high-impact capital investments, facility expansions, and complex automation initiatives across the manufacturing footprint.
• Fuse rigorous food processing engineering with sanitary design principles, controls architecture, and high-throughput packaging integration to future-proof plant operations.
• CapEx portfolio direction: own roadmaps from concept to commissioning, translating capacity needs into execution plans.
• Lead smart factory & process innovation, integrating automation and high-speed line controls to maximize throughput and OEE.
• Oversee project governance: scheduling, resource allocation, contractor compliance, and budget adherence.
• Sanitary design & engineering standards: develop master packages ensuring compliance with hygienic design, sanitary weld standards, and food safety guidelines (USDA, FDA, 3-A).
• Regulatory compliance & risk control: enforce environmental, safety regs and loss-prevention benchmarks for high-risk food manufacturing environments.
• Process troubleshooting: lead RCFA for bottlenecks, driving permanent engineering solutions to eliminate downtime.
• Budget management: formulate and manage annual engineering budgets across global facilities.
• Cost optimization & value engineering: perform life-cycle cost analyses for upgrades and retrofits.

The role fuses rigorous food processing engineering with strict sanitary design principles, sophisticated controls architecture, and high-throughput packaging integration to future-proof plant operations.

• CapEx Portfolio Direction: Own capital expenditure roadmaps, translating network capacity requirements into scalable, phased engineering execution plans from concept to final commissioning.
• Smart Factory & Process Innovation: Integrate cutting-edge automation, high-speed line controls, and industrial IoT monitoring to maximize throughput, yield, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Project Governance: Oversee end-to-end project performance, governing critical path scheduling, resource allocation, contractor compliance, and budget adherence.

Technical & Sanitary Governance

• Sanitary Design & Engineering Standards: Direct the development of master engineering packages, ensuring all equipment specifications, layouts, and utility tie-ins comply with stringent hygienic design principles, sanitary weld standards, and food safety guidelines (USDA, FDA, 3-A).
• Regulatory Compliance & Risk Control: Enforce strict adherence to local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations, alongside stringent property loss prevention engineering benchmarks (e.g., FM Global standards) for high-risk food manufacturing environments.
• Process Troubleshooting: Lead complex root cause failure analyses (RCFA) for high-priority processing and packaging bottlenecks, driving permanent engineering solutions to eliminate downtime.
• Budget Management: Formulate and manage annual engineering and capital improvement budgets, optimizing expenditure across global facility networks.
• Cost Optimization & Value Engineering: Execute cost-benefit models and life-cycle cost analyses for equipment upgrades, utility reductions, and facility retrofits to improve plant-level unit economics.
