L3Harris Technologies in Canoga Park, CA is seeking a Director of Programs for Liquid Propulsion to lead a defense program portfolio. You will drive production and development efforts, engaging stakeholders and guiding multi-disciplinary teams to meet schedule, cost and performance goals.

The role requires senior leadership experience in defense programs, strong communication, risk management, and strategic planning capabilities within the DoD ecosystem.

We have an immediate need for a Director, Programs to support production and development of Liquid Propulsion activities in a dynamic, challenging environment in Canoga Park, CA. This is an opportunity to lead a portfolio of defense programs reporting to the Strategic Deterrence Business Unit. We are seeking an experienced leader to play an active role in driving program execution success while helping shape the future of L3Harris.

Essential Functions

• Lead a portfolio of defense programs supporting production and development efforts.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure program execution, cost, schedule and technical performance objectives are achieved.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful program outcomes.
• Support customer engagement activities and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify and mitigate program risks while driving continuous improvement across the portfolio.
• Contribute to strategic planning and future growth initiatives within the THAAD and Strategic Systems Sector.
• Lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 15 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant experience leading complex defense programs in production and/or development environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing portfolios, teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of program execution, financial management, customer engagement and risk management.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and strategic planning skills.
• Experience supporting missile, strategic systems, propulsion, energetics or other related defense programs.
• Experience working within Department of Defense program environments.
• Prior experience leading large-scale, high-visibility customer programs.
• Prior experience with advanced aerospace propulsion assemblies that use liquid propellants

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $184,000 - $341,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
