Job summary

Dematic seeks a Director, Product Process Excellence & BT to lead strategy, governance, and execution transforming drawing-based product knowledge into digital, change-controlled definitions. You will align Product Development, Management, IT, Manufacturing, and BT to scale the digital thread with Teamcenter, Solution Suite, SAP S/4HANA, CAD, and related platforms.

The role enhances data quality, reuse, traceability, and manufacturing readiness while enabling AI with human review and release

Qualifications

• >10+ years in engineering, digital transformation, or product development processes.
• Senior-level product development or project engineering experience.
• Proven leadership in functional processes and technology deployment.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise systems and deployment methodologies.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving organizational change.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens PLM systems, CAD tools, simulation software, and model-based engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, data analytics, and automation technologies.

• Ability to understand and align with company vision and program objectives.
• Experience in PLM systems and ERP system deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design-to-Build (DtB) workstream execution and deployment across North America.
• Partner with global BT teams to define and optimize business processes.
• Collaborate across Product Development, Product Management, IT, Manufacturing, and BT teams for adoption of digital capabilities.
• Define and execute global strategy for product configuration and platforming.
• Establish governance for digital engineering processes, tools, and data management.
• Lead selection, deployment, integration, and lifecycle management of PLM, CAD, simulation, MBSE, and related systems.
• Drive integration between engineering and enterprise systems to improve data continuity and automation.
• Develop and enforce standards, governance, and best practices for engineering tools and compliance.
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions within R&D to accelerate innovation and optimize workflows.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to strengthen capabilities.

This director leads the strategy, governance, and execution needed to convert drawing-based product knowledge into structured, reusable, and change-controlled digital product definitions. The role aligns Product Development, Product Management, Solution Development, Manufacturing, IT, Business Transformation, and regional teams to establish a scalable digital thread across Teamcenter, Solution Suite, SAP S/4HANA, CAD, and related platforms. The position creates organizational value by improving product-data quality, configuration accuracy, reuse, traceability, order handoff, and manufacturing readiness while enabling responsible use of AI with human review and release controls.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $169,600 - $212,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will do in This Role:

• Lead Design-to-Build (DtB) workstream execution and operational deployment across North America, ensuring alignment with business objectives and transformation goals.
• Partner with global Business Transformation (BT) teams and stakeholders to define, implement, and optimize business processes that support organizational needs.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Product Management, IT, Manufacturing, and BT teams to ensure successful adoption of digital capabilities and transformation initiatives.
• Define and execute the global strategy for product configuration, structuring, and platforming across the IAS organization.
• Establish and drive the vision, roadmap, and governance for digital engineering processes, tools, and data management aligned with product development and business objectives.
• Lead the selection, deployment, integration, and lifecycle management of engineering and enterprise platforms, including PLM, CAD, simulation, MBSE, and related systems.
• Drive seamless integration between engineering and enterprise systems to improve data continuity, process automation, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and enforce standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for engineering tools, processes, and compliance.
• Drive the adoption of AI-enabled solutions within R&D to accelerate innovation, optimize engineering workflows, enhance product quality, and improve operational performance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, AI advancements, and industry best practices to strengthen engineering capabilities and maintain competitive advantage.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in engineering, engineering tool management, digital transformation, or product development processes.
• Senior-level experience in product development or project engineering and an expert in engineering processes and tools.
• Proven track record as a leader in functional processes and technology deployment.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise systems and deployment methodologies.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving organizational change.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens PLM systems, CAD tools, simulation software, and model-based engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, data analytics, and automation technologies.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with AI concepts, machine learning applications, and digital transformation strategies.
• Ability to understand and align with company vision and program objectives.
• Experience in PLM systems and ERP system deployments.
• Solid understanding of Maestro.
