Fitch Solutions is currently seeking a Product Manager, Private Credit Data Products based out of our New York office.
Fitch Solutions is a leading provider of insights, data and analytics. It informs investment strategies, strengthens risk management capabilities and helps identify strategic opportunities. Its analysts, lawyers, journalists and economists offer in-depth views on credit markets/risk and individual credits, ESG, developed and emerging markets, and industry sectors. Fitch Solutions is part of Fitch Group, a global leader in financial information services with operations in over 30 countries. Fitch Group is owned by Hearst.
By becoming a part of the Fitch Solutions team, you will join a group of colleagues delivering critical data, insightful research, and comprehensive analytics that empower clients to make informed decisions. You’ll work in a dynamic environment where innovation is encouraged, and collaboration is key to developing solutions that address the evolving needs of global markets. With a portfolio of best-in-class, award winning brands, we offer you the opportunity to advance your career while contributing to a company known for its expertise and commitment to excellence.
Private credit is one of the fastest-growing corners of the capital markets, and the data infrastructure hasn’t kept up. We’re building data products that close that gap for direct lenders, CLO managers, credit funds, and institutional investors. This role owns the product direction for our Private Credit data suite, from instrument-level datasets to the workflows and platform capabilities that deliver them. You’ll partner with Engineering, Data, Design, Sales, and Customer teams to decide what to build, validate it with clients, ship it, and measure whether it worked.
The core of what we’re building: combining market-leading legal analysis with AI-supported document extraction to curate structured data products and covenant analysis workflows across US and European private credit. The product roadmap also incorporates private monitored ratings data from Fitch Ratings, creating a view of the private credit landscape that doesn’t exist today. This PM decides what ships, in what order, and how those pieces reach clients.
The ideal candidate has real private credit domain knowledge and the product instincts to turn that into data products clients depend on. You’ll own the full lifecycle: discovery, requirements, trade-offs, delivery, launch, and iteration, and you’ll be measured on adoption, data quality, revenue contribution and client satisfaction.
Define what gets built, in what order, and why. Set OKRs tied to coverage depth, data quality SLAs, and revenue contribution. Make prioritization calls with clear rationale and documented trade-offs.
Bring deep knowledge of Private Credit markets and run continuous customer discovery with direct lenders, CLO managers, and credit funds. Translate workflow friction into product bets, not feature requests. Validate before build, measure after launch.
Drive agile delivery end-to-end: requirements through release. Translate needs into PRDs, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, own sprint planning, backlog sequencing, and manage delivery risk directly with Engineering and Data leadership. Own adoption and retention metrics post-launch and use them to decide what to double down on or kill.
Support product launches and sales enablement. Partner with Sales to position new capabilities and close feedback loops with clients post‑launch.
Private credit data doesn’t work like public markets data. Source documents are unstructured and inconsistent across originators. Coverage is never complete. Clients need speed and accuracy on instruments where neither comes easy. You’ll own the product decisions that determine how we close those gaps: what to automate, what to curate manually, where to invest in coverage vs. depth, and how to build data products that hold up when the answer isn’t in a filing.
You’ll also be working at the intersection of two assets no competitor can combine: Covenant analysis operation producing structured data from private credit agreements, and proprietary Fitch Ratings credit signals on the same borrowers. The product challenge is turning that combination into something clients use daily, not just something that looks good on a capability slide.
