Job summary

Niron Magnetics is seeking a Director of Product Management to build the product management function, own the product portfolio, and drive pricing, P&L, and roadmap decisions. This role will hire and lead the first product managers as the company scales and grows, reporting to the Vice President of Commercial.

The position requires a strong customer-first mindset, extensive PM experience in industrial or materials markets, and collaboration across engineering, operations, and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management in B2B industrial, materials or component markets.
• Experience with value-based pricing connecting pricing to customer value.
• Forecasting demand and allocating constrained supply across programs.
• Experience taking products through a stage-gate development process with engineering and operations partners.
• Experience hiring, building, and leading a team.
• Clear, concise writing for executive audiences.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including powder-based, metals or magnet manufacturing.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% for meetings and events.

Responsibilities

• Build the product management function, define product lines, and hire/lead first managers by end of 2027.
• Set prices and approve customer programs, including analysis of product value and manufacturability.
• Own customer P&L for each program and report portfolio economics to leadership.
• Route customer requests and align commercial and operations within SLAs.
• Own the 12‑month product roadmap and resolve conflicts between roadmaps.
• Stand up the operating system for interaction between Commercial and Operations.
