Job Description
  • Manage and develop the Compute software PM team. Set clear ownership and priorities, coach PMs, hire talent, and hold the team accountable for product decisions and results.
  • Define the roadmap for common Compute software capabilities, using customer needs and operational evidence to decide what to build and improve.

  • Write or direct concise decision papers, present recommendations to OCI leadership, and make technical, customer, and business tradeoffs clear.
  • Own portfolio planning, staffing needs, and delivery commitments. Build a team of PMs who can independently represent their products to customers, engineers, and senior leaders.
  • Lead go-to-market planning for major Compute software capabilities, including launch timing, positioning, packaging and pricing where applicable, field readiness, customer guidance, and adoption goals. Use customer feedback and usage data to guide what the team improves next.
Responsibilities
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure software, cloud platforms, or closely related technology products, including 5+ years in product management.
  • 4+ years managing product managers or leading a substantial multi-team technical product portfolio, with evidence of coaching people, setting priorities, and delivering through others.
  • Direct experience with compute, virtualization, container infrastructure, cloud control planes, fleet management, or infrastructure observability.
  • Experience taking cloud or infrastructure software from product definition through launch and customer adoption, including working with sales, marketing, documentation, and support teams.
  • The ability to work credibly with engineers on architecture and operational tradeoffs while keeping the customer problem and business decision clear.
  • Strong product judgment: you can show decisions you made, alternatives you considered, and what changed as a result.
  • Clear writing and executive communication. This role requires recommendations that hold up under detailed questioning.
  • A technical education in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred; substantial relevant experience is equally important.

Success in this role means customers can operate OCI Compute with greater confidence, the common software roadmap has clear ownership, and the PM team can make and defend its own product decisions.
