Job summary

Axon is seeking an experienced FP&A professional to join the finance team in a hybrid role near Seattle. You will collaborate with product, engineering and leadership to drive forecasting, financial modeling, cost optimization and strategic planning, delivering insights that influence both roadmaps and performance.

You will partner across functions to provide robust financial analysis, build business cases, and support executive discussions on corporate strategy and investment decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Financial Accounting.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial modeling, forecasting and business analytics in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of owning projects and driving cross-functional delivery.
  • Experience driving process improvements focused on quality, timeliness and efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management and deadlines.
  • Data analysis and scenario modeling aligned with strategic goals.
  • Technology/ SaaS industry experience and manufacturing exposure.
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support various levels of decision makers with data, metrics, and operating model alignment.
  • Support product roadmap prioritization with engineering and product leads.
  • Model new product design iterations and build business cases.
  • Drive cost reduction, headcount, and budget reviews in line with the plan.
  • Support corporate FP&A processes and present results to R&D leaders.
  • Participate in cross‑functional Investment Business Cases for new products.
  • Analyze market and P&L performance for key segments with data, KPIs and insights.

Location:

Hybrid Presence based near the following US Hubs - Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, New York City or Scottsdale. This role follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. What You’ll Do
  • You will apply business and financial acumen to support various levels of Operational and Financial decision makers with data, analysis, metrics, process creation/improvement and operating model alignment
  • You will support Product Roadmap prioritization based on profit contribution and engineering resource constraints in close partnership with engineering and product leads
  • You will model new product design iterations and develop the business case for new products and features based on product-market fit and expected cost reduction
  • You will drive regular cost reduction, headcount, and budget reviews to ensure alignment to the company plan and product strategy
  • You will support the corporate forecasting process for R&D/product spend and present results to R&D leaders. Regularly participate in corporate FP&A meetings such as executive corporate forecast reviews and budget vs. actuals reviews
  • You will support the company-wide Strategic Portfolio Planning Process by assisting in the creation of Investment Business Cases for new Products & Strategic initiatives and in doing so the role will collaborate cross functionally and will have full P&L exposure
  • The position will also support Product teams in their holistic analysis of market and P&L performance for key Product Segments and contribute with data, KPIs and analysis
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Financial Accounting
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial modeling, forecasting and business analytics in a dynamic environment, supporting both financial and operational decision makers
  • Proven track record of owning projects and driving their completion cross-functionally
  • Experience driving process improvements focused on quality, timeliness and improved efficiency
  • Ability to working independently with concern for quality and deadlines
  • Data analysis and dynamic scenario modeling with emphasis on researching and validating modeling inputs and assumptions and ensuring their alignment with operational models and strategic goals
  • Technology/software/SaaS industry experience
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills for frequent interaction with financial and non-financial business leaders
  • Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit

Base Pay Range

$166,950 — $267,120 USD
