Job summary

BD in Covington, GA is seeking a procurement leader to drive strategy, governance and supplier collaboration across direct and indirect spends, ensuring cost, quality and service meet business needs. Primary Work Location: USA GA - Covington.

You will partner with procurement COEs and business teams to shape global category strategies and implement end-to-end source-to-pay improvements, while mentoring teams to deliver measurable value.

Responsibilities Include

• Functional leadership with the Business insuring procurement strategy is developed and aligned with business needs with governance across direct and indirect spends.
• Accountable for cost, quality, service levels relative to supply base into the business, directly manages unique spend and suppliers for the business while leveraging scale for suppliers and areas of spend which cut-across BD
• Partners with a wide range of procurement COE's (category, supplier, procurement excellence teams) and associates to bring together a comprehensive procurement perspective for the business and helps shape the business world-wide strategy
• Ensures business needs and key strategies are integrated into category spend and that there is a clear value proposition for the assigned business to implement sourcing strategies.
• Works with other procurement associates to encourage consensus among various stakeholder groups and achieve objectives. Actively identifies gaps, proposes and implements changes necessary to close gaps, which may be related to supplier, processes or other commercial issue. Effectively uses all change tools to facilitate adoption of change
• Contributes to overall global procurement functional strategy and procure to pay process improvements - end to end oversight for source to pay within the business
• Educates internal / external customers on various technical and procurement process issues
• Leads the creation and development of New Product (GPDS) sourcing strategies and collaborates end to end across the ISC for seamless integration and execution - aligns with global COE's to ensure scale, leverage and preferred strategies are followed
