About This Role

iRhythm is currently seeking an experienced Director, Procurement. The role will scale the procurement function (Direct and Indirect) to support rapid business growth, bring best practices to managing $100M in annual Direct & Indirect purchases, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

Specific Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and scale the procurement function (Direct and Indirect) to support the rapid growth of the business, maximizing contribution to business objectives, profitability and ROI.
  • Implement best practices from standard category management and innovative approaches to identify and execute opportunities for cross‑company savings and operational improvements.
  • Work as a strategic business partner to develop and prioritize procurement change programs and projects that enable delivery of short‑ and long‑term objectives.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders across finance, IT and manufacturing to improve the P2P process through automation, selective outsourcing and strategic alliances.
  • Develop risk management strategies to mitigate supply‑chain disruptions and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee the indirect purchasing team to maintain superior customer service for internal requests.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory planning model, achieving and maintaining inventory targets.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing procurement team to support manufacturing and corporate goals.
  • Develop relationships with key suppliers and manage supplier performance.
About You
  • Action orientation and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum ten years of experience in procurement operations and strategic sourcing.
  • Seven or more years in Medical Device, Pharma, or Biotech with thorough understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA regulations.
  • Prior experience in developing and implementing category strategies for indirect procurement areas such as IT, CAPEX, marketing, facilities and services.
  • Experience contributing to automation and/or process improvement in the P2P process of a rapidly growing company.
  • Effective communicator capable of influencing at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive effective analysis and transformation projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contract commercial terms and ability to lead supply‑agreement negotiations independently.
  • Ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment and juggle shifting priorities and tight timelines.
